Ben answers your questions!

As Ben haven't done an interview in a while and we all have so many questions we'd like to ask him, I wanted to get a chance for all of us to ask those. Thanks to all of you that sent in questions! There were so many great ones to choose from and I tried to put together a mix of different types of questions to give a good variety. Also big thank you to Ben who of course were as amazing as ever in agreeing to go through all these questions! So here it is - enjoy!

What got you into music?Sazzywils, Skelmersdale
It was just something I was good at when I was young. I started singing and took it from there.

When will you release your next single and the album? Kazutaka Shibuya, Japan
Hopefully soon!!……but I always say that…! I’m actually getting quite frustrated cause it’s been a year since my last release - which was something I didn’t want to release anyway…

Music or love? Maya, Switzerland
I think they come hand in hand!

What's your favourite part of London, and what's your favourite place in the world? Marita, Norway
My favourite part of London is Covent Garden - especially on a summer day. And my favourite place in the world is LA.

If you had one day left to live, what would you do? (It's a classic question but hey, I wanna know!) Marita, Norway
Probably go and spend every bit of money I’ve ever earned and some more that I don’t have…

Do you enjoy writing your own songs? Sazzywils, Skelmersdale
Of course, that’s why I do it!

Why do you buy belts that don't hold your trousers up? Emma, UK
Because I like the trousers on my bum… I’ve actually bought a new one which will hopefully be featured in an “in-the-background-of-Craig” picture somewhere very soon!

What's your favourite track on "It's Brutal Out There", and what's your favourite song ever? Marita, Norway
Probably one called “Broken Bird” which I wrote for my mum. And my favourite song ever is “Miss Claire remembers” by Enya.

Whats ya fave item of clothing in ya wardrobe? Natty, Blackpool
My very ripped up pair of jeans that are almost falling apart….

Are you dating at the moment? Amy Tan, Philippines
Yes.

If you could do a duet with anyone you want to, who would it be? And why? Maya, Switzerland
Probably with the Cheaky Girls….. and they could touch my bum cause that is life!!

What would you do if you couldn't live from music - is there a plan B? Maya, Switzerland
I’d probably go into acting or something, or take up on my circus juggling tricks.

Does Craig David snore? Marita, Norway
Sometimes…

Why do you always show your tummy off? Emma, UK
Cause it’s a nice little tummy and surprisingly hairy.

What's the best thing to do first, write the lyrics or make the tune of the song? And why? Jiezl, California
I pretty much write the melody, lyrics and produce the track at the same time. It’s easier that way because certain melodies lend themselves to certain lyrics and visa versa.

How did you get that red phone to float in your weird pic? Linn, Sweden
I was swinging it around and the photographer managed to catch a good shot of it!

Would you ever consider trying out acting like many singers have done? Ashley, US
I wouldn’t try it out - I’d just do it brilliantly! haha

Will you be touring soon? Carley, Leeds
I think I better work on getting the album out first - but I’d love to!

Is it biblical? (As some users of Ben's forum might remember, there have been discussions if in "Sorry" the songs starts "It's like a biblical curse" or "It's like a ridicule curse", as different lyrics have been seen around the internet, so just wanted to get this cleared so I can sleep....) Cecilie, UK
Yes, it’s biblical……!

Where are you in 10 years? Marita, Norway
Hopefully chilling out in my massive mansion with a couple of kids, a dog and my wife and enjoying life!
