| With A1, to Side2
A1 want to move to Aker Brygge. Might become neighbours with Alexander Rybak.
Wanna move to Aker Brygge.
The boys are trying to find a place in Oslo where they can buy an apartment.
- We really want to find an apartment on Aker Brygge, says Ben Adams (28).
Alexander Rybak has recently bought an apartment there. You might be neighbours then. Maybe you could have parties together then?
- Neighbour parties, yeah. We need to have the fiddler at a party, Ben says.
After the beginning of the comeback last year, the guys haven’t had much time for dating. Rumours have it that Ben has been dating and falling in love with a Norwegian girl, but he won’t confirm it yet.
- In our business it isn’t much spare time. We are married to our job and has lots of love for it, says Ben.
- It is a challenge dating or having a relationship with a popstar. You have to be very patient then, therefore it’s hard for us to find. And time wise it can be depressing. But to be honest, I don’t often have time to think about it, Mark tells.
- We have it very good together and have much joy of that, Christian Ingebrigtsen (33) says.
A lot of people think A1 are going to win the Melodi Grand Prix final on Saturday. But it is a subject the boys don’t want to talk about.
- To us how good our competitions are or which place we get isn’t the most important thing. We are having a great time on stage and get to show people our song, that’s what’s important to us, Mark says.
- But we would be very proud if we get to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest, says Ben.
Their song, “Don’t Wanna Lose You Again”, is about love. But neither Ben, Mark nor Christian thinks it’s weird that three single guys sing about love.
- Not at all. We all have experienced relationships and break ups. I think that makes the song more real, when we have that life experience, Mark tells us.
For Christian it will be a special competition on Saturday.
- A few of our competition is good friends of me. I know Venke, Laila, Maria Arredondo and Simone. But I don’t think of it as a competition. It’s just one big party, he says.
In the Melodi Grand Prix final on Saturday, A1 will be joined by Venke Knutson, Bjørn Johan Muri, Maria Haukaas Storeng, Keep Of Kalessin, Maria Arredondo, Alexander Stenerud and Didrik Solli-Tangen.
